Description

These zinc-plated self-tapping screws are 13mm-long fixings for compatible sheet-metal, cladding and general fabrication work. Choose the No.8 or No.10 diameter; both are supplied in boxes of 1,000.

Available sizes

No.8 x 1/2 inch: 4.2 x 13mm, box of 1,000.
No.10 x 1/2 inch: 4.8 x 13mm, box of 1,000.

Selection guidance

Confirm screw material, zinc finish, thread form, head and drive, pilot-hole requirement, sheet thickness and design loads. Zinc plating provides a finish but should not be treated as universal protection for every wet, external, chemical or dissimilar-metal environment.

Installation

Use the matching driver bit and controlled torque. Prepare the hole or substrate as required, avoid stripping the formed thread and ensure the 13mm screw cannot strike hidden services or create a sharp projection through the reverse side.
