TERRAC acoustic wall tile is a high mass recycled rubber acoustic insulation tile designed to improve soundproofing in wall systems. It helps reduce airborne noise such as speech and loud music, plus structural borne sound passing through partitions and party walls. Manufactured from recycled SBR rubber granules, TERRAC supports more sustainable building choices while delivering practical noise control for homes and commercial interiors.

What it does

Felt layers are excellent for absorption and echo control, however they do not block sound travelling through a wall. TERRAC works differently. It adds mass and damping to help reduce sound transmission through the structure. When installed as part of a wall build up, it can deliver a noticeable improvement in privacy and comfort.

Installation guide

TERRAC tiles are designed for straightforward wall installation using T Bond Gold high strength contact adhesive.

Ensure surfaces are clean dry and free from grease oil and dust.
Hold the aerosol at approximately 70 degrees to the surface.
Apply a uniform coat of adhesive to both the wall and the acoustic tile, aiming for 80 to 100% coverage.
Spray one surface horizontally and the other vertically.
The adhesive is ready to bond when it feels dry to the touch and does not transfer.
Bring the two surfaces together firmly. A strong immediate bond will be made.
Full cure can take up to 24 hours depending on temperature and conditions.
As a guide, 1 x 500ml aerosol provides approximately 3 m² surface coverage.
