Description

These stainless-steel self-tapping screws are 13mm-long pan-head fixings for compatible sheet-metal, cladding and fabrication tasks. Select No.8 or No.10; both variants are supplied in boxes of 1,000.

Available sizes

No.8 x 1/2 inch: 4.2 x 13mm, box of 1,000.
No.10 x 1/2 inch: 4.8 x 13mm, box of 1,000.

Selection guidance

Confirm material grade, thread form, drive, required pilot hole, sheet thickness, pull-out/shear loads and compatibility with the metals being joined. Stainless steel can still be affected by unsuitable environments or galvanic contact with dissimilar metals.

Installation

Use the correct driver bit and controlled torque. Prepare the substrate as specified for the fixing, avoid over-driving the head and check that the 13mm screw cannot damage hidden services or project dangerously through the reverse side.
