Description
Foil-faced phenolic pipe insulation for steel pipework, supplied in 1 metre split sections. Choose the steel pipe outside diameter first, then select the required insulation thickness.
Choose the correct size
- Pipe outside diameter: 17mm to 610mm, depending on availability.
- Insulation thickness: 15mm, 20mm, 25mm, 30mm, 35mm, 40mm or 50mm, depending on pipe diameter.
- Length: each section is 1 metre long.
Frequently ordered combination: for 219mm steel pipe with 25mm insulation, select 219mm under O.D. and 25mm under Thickness.
Why use phenolic pipe sections?
- Rigid closed-cell phenolic insulation provides high thermal performance in a compact thickness.
- The factory-applied foil facing supports vapour control when joints are correctly sealed.
- Split-section construction helps installation around compatible existing or new steel pipework.
- Suitable for hot, chilled and cold-water building-services pipework when specified for the system conditions.
Ordering and installation notes
- Measure the pipe outside diameter rather than the insulation outside diameter.
- Confirm the required insulation thickness against the project specification and operating conditions.
- Close longitudinal and circumferential joints tightly and seal the foil facing with a compatible vapour-barrier tape where required.
- Use correctly specified load-bearing insulated supports at pipe-support locations.
Technical properties vary by manufacturer, thickness and project requirement. Please request the applicable technical documentation before relying on a declared thermal, fire or temperature value.
