Returns Policy

Defects

All claims for defects in quantity or quality capable of discovery on reasonable inspection must be made in writing to Buyinsulation.co.uk within 7 days of the receipt by the Buyer or his Agent of such goods. Under no circumstances whatsoever will any claims for defects, whether patent or latent, be considered after 6 months from the date of despatch of the goods in question and any claim whatsoever made after that period shall be deemed time barred and waived.

Buyinsulation.co.uk at its own discretion undertakes to refund the buyer up to the invoice price of the allegedly defective goods where it is satisfied that it is responsible. Under no circumstances whatsoever shall BuyInsulation.co.uk liability for the goods exceed the invoice price of any allegedly defective goods.

Unless the buyer notified Buyinsulation.co.uk in writing of a particular purpose for which the goods were intended and stated that he way relying upon Buyinsulation.co.uk to supply goods suitable for that stated purpose all liability for the goods proving unsuitable for any such purpose when delivered is specifically denied.

Save as provided in this cause, Buyinsulation.co.uk shall not be under any liability to the buyer or any Third Party in respect of defects in goods delivered whether patent or latent or for any injury, damage or loss resulting directly from such defects howsoever caused and the warranty in this clause shall be in lieu of any warranty of condition whether express or implied by law, statute or custom of trade as to quality or fitness for any particular purpose or merchantability of such goods. In no event whatsoever shall Buyinsulation.co.uk liability under this Clause exceed the contract price of the faulty goods.

Cancellation & Returns Policy

The following policy produced by Whisky Dog is compliant with both the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Customer Contract (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.


Your Right to Cancel

You have the right to cancel an order from Whisky Dog. This ‘right to cancel’ period starts from the time you place your order and ends 14 days from the day you receive your goods.

After having informed Whisky Dog in writing that you wish to cancel the order, you then have a further 14 days to send the goods back.


Return of Damaged or Broken Items

If an item arrives clearly damaged or broken at the time of delivery we ask that you decline the delivery from the driver and sign their documentation to the effect that you have refused to accept it as the item is broken or damaged.

We ask that if at all possible, before the driver takes the package away, that you take photographs of the broken / damaged parcel. We also ask that these photographs include one of the bottle seal to show that it is intact if possible.

If you have already taken delivery of an item and then discover that the item is broken or damaged, we ask that you do not breakdown the parcel any further and take photographs showing the damage and that the seal is still intact.

In either of the above cases can you contact us as soon as reasonably practicable and send us copies of your photographs please, to sales@whiskydog.co.uk

Whisky Dog will then arrange for collection of the damaged parcel via our carrier, UPS, at no cost.

It is vitally important that all of the original packaging is returned to Whisky Dog for inspection and to enable any Insurance claim to be conducted. Failure to do so may render any refund or claim void.

If the packaging is contaminated then some form of further overpacking will need to be applied. Please contact us before the return so that we can advise on overpacking / repacking, to minimise further damage or contamination.

On receipt of the returned damaged / broken packaging and Whisky Dog are satisfied that the damage occurred prior to delivery then we will provide you with a full refund including postage. This refund will be sent to you within 14 days from the date of collection, from you.

Please Note: If you are returning the item because it is damaged and this damage was listed as part of the original sales description, then the return postage costs are your responsibility. Minor wear and tear is not classed as damage and this would also void the no cost return allowance.


Return because Whisky Dog has sent the wrong bottle.

In the very unlikely event that the wrong bottle has been sent to you then please inform as soon as possible at sales@whiskydog.co.uk

Providing the product ordered is still available we will arrange for this to be sent to you, at no cost.

If for any reason the original product is no longer available we will offer you a full refund**

Whisky Dog will arrange for the incorrect bottle to be collected from you, at no cost, by our carrier UPS. This ensures that Whisky Dog is covered by their insurance for the return journey.

In this instance the bottle you have received must be returned in all the original inner and outer packaging, in the same way as it was sent. The packaging must be closed correctly and taped with good quality packaging tape in the same manner as it arrived.

If for any reason it is not possible to re-use the original packaging for it’s return, you must contact Whisky Dog as soon as possible to discuss how this can be resolved.

Please Note: On safe return of the bottle sent to you then the correct bottle will be dispatched.

Return because you have changed your mind.

If you have changed your mind and wish a refund**, this is not a problem, but we do ask that you to make contact with Whisky Dog as soon as possible to inform us at sales@whiskydog.co.uk

Whisky Dog will arrange for the bottle(s) to be collected from you, by our carrier UPS. This ensures that Whisky Dog is covered by their insurance for the return journey.

If you are returning the bottle(s) for a refund, please note that all return postage charges are your responsibility. As Whisky Dog are using their carrier UPS this means that the postage costs will be the same as the charges listed in our Shipping Policy which can be seen here. However in the case where the value of your order entitled you to free postage, this will not apply to the return and the cost will also be as the charges listed in the Shipping Policy, in line with the number of bottles being returned.

In this instance the bottle(s) must be returned in all the original inner and outer packaging, in the same way they were sent.

If the packaging has not been opened we ask that you DO NOT open it and leave it exactly as delivered. This helps ensure a safe return delivery.

If the packaging has been opened then we ask that everything is repacked in the same way as it was delivered to you and the package then closed correctly and taped with good quality packaging tape in the same manner as it arrived.

If for any reason it is not possible to re-use the original packaging for it’s return, you must contact Whisky Dog as soon as possible to discuss how this can be resolved.

Whisky Dog will process any refund** within 14 days from the day of collection from you. The cost of the return postage will be deducted from the monies being returned as a refund.


Return in order to Exchange for a different product

If you have changed your mind and wish to exchange for a different bottle, this is not a problem, but we do ask that you to make contact with Whisky Dog as soon as possible to inform us at sales@whiskydog.co.uk

It is important at the point of making contact with Whisky Dog that you inform us which bottle(s) you wish to exchange and which bottle(s) you would like as a replacement. This will enable us to take them out of stock to send to you upon safe return of the original bottle(s).

Whisky Dog will arrange for the bottle(s) delivered to be collected from you, by our carrier UPS. This ensures that Whisky Dog is covered by their insurance for the return journey.

If you are returning the bottle(s) for an exchange, please note that all return postage charges are your responsibility. As Whisky Dog are using their carrier UPS this means that the postage costs will be the same as the charges listed in our Shipping Policy which can be seen here. However in the case where the value of your order entitled you to free postage, this will not apply to the return and the cost will also be the same as the charges listed in the Shipping Policy, in line with the number of bottles being returned.

In this instance the bottle(s) must be returned in all the original inner and outer packaging, in the same way they were sent.

Please note: the postage costs applicable for the delivery of your replacement(s) are also your responsibility.


Exchanges - Refunds / Additional Charges.

In the case of exchanges, if your replacement bottle is of a lower value than your original purchase, then you will be refunded** the difference between the two, less the cost of the return postage of the first bottle(s) and the postage cost for the replacement bottle(s).

Whisky Dog will process any refund within 14 days from the day of collection from you.

If your replacement bottle is of a higher value than your original purchase, then you will be invoiced for the difference, plus both the cost of the return postage for your first bottle(s) and the postage costs for the replacement, unless we have agreed otherwise with you.

Whisky Dog will not send the replacement bottle(s) until any balance is paid.


** In the case of all refunds, Whisky Dog are entitled to inspect all returns, to assess damage and / or condition.
Whisky Dog is entitled under the Consumer Contracts Regulations to make a deduction if the value of the goods has been reduced as a result of you handling the goods more than was necessary. [This could include such as damage to boxes, labels etc].
Please Note: If the seal on a bottle has been broken, this immediately nullifies any right of you the consumer, to cancel your order.
